MBA graduates of Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), IIT Bombay has witnessed highest Rs 32.4 lakh package this year in its final placement. This year while the package remains the same as last year, only the average CTC has increased from Rs 19.06 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
An official statement issued by IIT Bombay says that all the MBA students of 2019 batch have been placed during the final placement drive that happened in December 2018 for three days. The number of students to be placed this year is 109. All total 38 companies have made 112 offers this year which remains the same as last year when 112 offers were made to 107 students.
As reported by Indian Express, Head of SJMSOM, Professor S Bhargava, said: “We have again succeeded in providing the industry with talented students in a plethora of roles and functions, and strengthening of long-lasting relationships with our legacy recruiters, along with an influx of new recruiters, which resulted in excellent packages for students. We have rapidly advanced in our pursuit of excellence with the same being reflected in the stupendous growth of average packages. These numbers are a testament to the robust pedagogy followed by SJMSOM.”
This year along with the old ones, some new recruiters like OYO, Tata Global Beverages, HSBC has also come down during the placement drive to offer jobs to the batch.
